Northeast Ohio Legal Aid endorses the mission, vision, and values of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and focuses on pursuing systemic change through local legislative and other policy advocacy initiatives.
Katherine B. Hollingsworth
Executive Director
Katherine B. Hollingsworth became Northeast Ohio Legal Aid’s inaugural Executive Director in February 2025. Katherine previously served as the Managing Attorney of the Economic Justice Group at The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. In addition to supervising the representation of clients with employment and consumer issues, she also led the group’s systemic advocacy efforts to secure greater economic stability and access to justice for people with low income in Northeast Ohio.
Katherine is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Middlebury College. Prior to joining Cleveland Legal Aid in 2011, Katherine practiced at two large law firms in Boston, Massachusetts and served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable F. Dennis Saylor IV in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Rita A. Maimbourg, Chair
Rita Maimbourg retired in 2024 from her position as a Partner at the Tucker Ellis LLP law firm. While at Tucker Ellis, Rita combined her trial experience and medical knowledge to defend clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare industries. During her 40+ years of practice, Rita represented clients in federal and state courts throughout the country. Prior to joining Northeast Ohio Legal Aid’s Board of Managers in 2024, Rita was a member of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland’s Board of Directors and served as the Board President in 2021.
Stephen M. Fazio, Treasurer
Stephen Fazio is a Partner at the Squire Patton Boggs law firm. Stephen focuses his practice on domestic US litigation as well as international arbitration on behalf of clients in the automotive, energy and chemicals industries. Stephen has extensive experience in complex multidistrict and class action litigation. Prior to joining the Board of Managers for Northeast Ohio Legal Aid in 2024, Stephen was a member of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland’s Board of Directors and served as the Board President in 2022.
Vanetta Jamison, Secretary
From working for the City of Cleveland to running a daycare for children with developmental disabilities, Vanetta Jamison has always worked in service to her community. Since 2011, Vanetta has had a career as a benefits specialist with the federal government. Prior to joining the Board of Managers for Northeast Ohio Legal Aid in 2024, Vanetta was a former client turned Board Member of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. In 2016, Vanetta became Cleveland Legal Aid’s Board President, the first non-attorney to serve in this position, and served two terms in that role.
